the past, the present and the pack rat.

I was checking email tonight (I know its late and I should REALLY be in bed but...) and I glanced down to see that I had 1492 emails in my Inbox.
Yes, you read that right
One thousand Four Hundred and Ninety Two emails just sitting in my Inbox.
Do you think its time to finally delete them? They must go back years... *sigh*
Its sorta like cleaning out the garage or an attic but with less hard labor. (although my fingers might have a little something to say about that.)
What if I need to refer back to something one day? Or forget my password on some strange website that I signed up for years ago? Or photos of my niece that I have yet to save to my hard drive?

Here's to pack ratting even on the computer! (Will it ever end?!) CHEERS!

Mary Mary Quite Contrary...

....And this is how my garden grows!

Blueberries are going to be fantastically abundant later this summer and Raspberries are ripening, and strawberries....oh the sweet strawberries! I'm blessed with berries!

Hawk, 'tude, and Dirt... Such a Boy!

I could sum this post up in one word (seriously): Teething.
Its not a fabulous jump up and down word. It doesn't make you smile, its just a word.
But to Mom's its more.

Teething: eruption of the deciduous teeth, esp. the phenomena associated with their eruption.

Its just that... a phenomena. Its an eruption. Not just of teeth but of emotions,Screaming and inconsolable pains. Thank goodness for Tylenol and Baby Oragel! (And those teething tablets- I'm not sure if they work or if it is just the idea that I am giving them these melting pills that are suppose to work. Is it possible that I could be giving them something that is working as a placebo for me?)

Bus's First tooth has broken through! YAY
Moose has one on the way- but not there just yet.
They both had the exact same tooth coming in. Funny how they are identical twins and the same tooth comes in at the same time. What are the odds of that? (or maybe that is the norm for twins but hey I'm new to this twindom still.)
They haven't been as bad as I am letting on- compared to the older two these teething babies are angels! But teething is teething no matter how you spin it!

Things that start with "I..."

I saw this over at Brittany's blog and thought I would give it a shot myself!

I am…Just me. Mom,Wife, Daughter, Sister and Great Friend. (well I think I am!)
I want…to get everything done on a days to do list for once!
I wish... I could see my family and friends more often!
I hate strongly dislike…-Not a big fan of hate.. so I strongly dislike close minded people and liars.
I miss…My pre-pregnancy wardrobe. (One day I will fit back into it!)
I fear… the unknown and change.
I feel…amazing when I see my family and what I've created!
I hear…Moose and Bus chatting to each other and the hum of the fish tank.
I smell…Chai Tea (waiting for me to drink it before it gets cold!)
I crave…some alone time to craft. (which lately I get none of!)
I search…for the good in everyone.
I wonder…what I will be when I grow up.
I regret…I try not to regret... but I do regret not always being appreciative of the things I have.
I love…God, My Sons and Husband, Nature and blooming flowers! (and a clean house.. seriously this list could go on and on!)
I care…about my family and friends.
I ache…everywhere. even places I didn't know I could ache.
I always...Find the Positive (no matter the situation)
I believe…everything happens for a reason-Even if we may not see it at first.
I dance…silly with Chugo and Kata; to rock Moose and Bus to sleep.
I sing...All the time and make up songs to fit my mood!
I cry…when I think back about the journey I've been on so far. (happy tears)
I don’t always... have my priorities in order (I agree with Brittany on this one!)
I fight…myself daily.
I write…this blog and in my journals
I never…go to bed angry.
I listen…to my sons, my intuition and for God.
I need…hugs from all my babies everyday!
I am happy... I'm ME!

Summertime and finally starting to feel like it!

Today is the first official full day of Summer break for my kiddos! (And already Kata was in at the crack of dawn asking me what he could do!) I had all this fun stuff planned for summer but now that the gas prices have hit a whooping $4.12 a gallon, we may stay a wee bit closer to home. So now I have to get my creativity in gear.. which is proving hard seeing as I still can't hear out of my ear! Its ringing in there but apparently no one is home! (HAHA... good thing I still have my sense of humor about me eh?!)
The Hub's Mom is up for a visit from AZ which has been fun so far! (She is staying two weeks, but not the whole time with us as the Hub's brothers are like 20 mins away and the older of the two is expecting their first child which is super exciting!!) So anyways... where was I? Oh yeah, summertime. I got the garden planted, strawberries are already plumping up and getting ready to pick and the raspberry bushes are starting to turn too! I am excited! I have been working on the front yard when I can (which is not very often at all!) But I finally got some mulch down so it didn't look like I was just playing in the dirt. My favorite Gardner will be here next week for a visit (Yep MY brother!) so I can't wait. I bought a grapevine and we is going to work his MacGyver skills and help me make a Trellis for the vines.

The Twins are phenomenal! Growing sooo big and now crawling everywhere! They are so fast! They've always had their personalities but now they are really starting to shine. (not to mention make it known if they like or dislike something!) We bit the bullet and started them on cereal after we had our in home visit with both the nurse and EI. They both felt that the twins were ready and boy were they! They have taken off eating. They are not super big fans of the rice cereal but tolerate it. We've tried bananas, apple sauce, peaches and sweet potatoes (not all at once hello what do you take me for! Wink... this has been over weeks.) and the sweet potatoes are by far the favorite. I love this new phase that they are in but it reminds me just how fast they are growing up! Before I know it they will be one and then after that- talking back! LOL

Mooses First Taste!Bus' First Taste!

Kata just finished up with T-ball and is looking forward to scouts. (He just got placed in his den) And Chugo has been going gung ho with his scouts. I have met some really great Moms and a lot of them have sons the same ages as all my boys so can you say Play Dates? YAY!!
I've missed having a social life! But then again with four kids, two of which are under a year, yeah.. you know what I mean when I say we don't get out much. By evening time I am exhausted and the only thing I am thinking is "Oh Dear Lord, please let these boys fall asleep early so I can too!" I'll keep you all posted when I can. Its been awhile but once the antibiotics are over and I'm hopefully back on my feet again- I'll be back daily! Until then..

Babies Babies EVERYWHERE!

Tis the season to be pregnant! (no not me... HELLO are you crazy?!)
I went to the doctor for the ear infection and my doctor informed me that she was expecting a boy in Septemebr! I am soooo stoked for her she is awesome and will make a great Mom. Then I got to thinking about how many people I know who are expecting right now...

The lady down the street- August- A girl
My older sister-September-unknown
The nurse at the Docs office-September- A boy
My Doctor-September- A boy
My SIL-November-unkown
My Best friend growing up-December-unknown

(the unkowns are because they are not far enough along to find out, well all except my sister who has now had three ultrasounds and that baby is just hiding its parts! I am praying for a boy though!)
Kinda makes you wonder if you might be able to fill in the blanks with the unknowns... like girl-girl-boy-boy-girl-girl.. or maybe it might be girl-boy-boy-boy-boy-girl or .... who knows! So many combos! (but only two choices to choose from haha... boy or girl!)
I will keep you posted when I find out what the others are, so if anyone wants to make their own predictions as to what the gender-birth order may be that would be fun!

Comma Comma Comma Chameleon... (pun intended)

Thank goodness its the weekend. I'm stuck at home (by choice mind you!) with a horrible ear infection and cough. (btw -when do adults get ear infections, well apparently other than me and Bonnie?!) I'm sure there is stuff to blog about- tons actually, but seeing as I am hearing things doubled in my head (like an echo) and like I;m submerged underwater I think I will just post the results from this quiz that I took. (Found it over at Angie's blog if anyone else wants to take it!)

You Are a Comma

You are open minded and extremely optimistic.
You enjoy almost all facets of life. You can find the good in almost anything.

You keep yourself busy with tons of friends, activities, and interests.
You find it hard to turn down an opportunity, even if you are pressed for time.

Your friends find you fascinating, charming, and easy to talk to.
(But with so many competing interests, you friends do feel like you hardly have time for them.)

You excel in: Inspiring people

You get along best with: The Question Mark

Funny things is that I am sickly optomistic most of the time! (except now that I am sick and almost wish someone would cut my head off so I could get all my house work done. But then again- who cares if it looks like a tornado hit- I have 4 boys in my house! The Mom in law will be here next week so I still have 5 more days to clean house! <--Guess thats optimism after all?!) I have so many posts to catch up on- so be prepared next week when I am feeling better! Might just post one big ass post with it all in one- its for posterity reasons you know! I can't hardly remember what I did yesterday so I better blog about it all so a year from now I can reread it and go, omg I did do that didn't I? *Wink Hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend! Mine will be filled with movies and popsicles... mmmm.. Its almost like being a kid again, well, except for the 4 kids still depending on
me that is!

Wordless Wednesday

(I was sick and didn't sleep then either! *Wink)

I have so much to blog about but alas...

I'm Sick.
I should leave the post at just that. (but you know me better than that!)
It started with a headache, then a 103 temp. which finally broke and then I couldn't get my clothes off fast enough- sweat ugh! (although in regular day vernacular a woman who couldn't get her clothes off fast enough would be quite the draw of the males! But not so much when your sick.)
It has now settled into my head. I suppose I could be happy that I wasn't hacking up a lung- but to me, my head is everything. I think with my head. My rationale has gone out the window. I find myself yelling because I can't even hear what I am saying- which in turn makes my family scream back and then we all get confused at why we are all screaming in the first place! I can barely swallow, thanks to the fabulous post nasal drip action going on. I did invest in a humidifier which, according to all, is the best thing ever when your sick. The humming machine, while as soothing as it sounded, didn't seem to do much for me- But that could also be due to the fact that it was the longest night ever! I finally fell asleep and then woke up feeling like I had been asleep for hours only to find that 10 mins had lapsed. Ridiculous. Granted if it was back in the days when I was twinless I would have guzzled down the Nyquil and slept like a wee bab- But for fear I wouldn't hear them get up and for some reason I am deathly afraid of SIDS so I check on them frequently anyways no drowsy medications for me. So... There it is. My cold. Drawn out like they always are. But I will stop venting for now because there are so many people out there that have it way worse than just a head cold that I almost feel embarrassed to be throwing myself a pity party. Until next time.... *ACHOOO
