Life...

Life gets hectic and life gets crazy. It throws you around and drags you by your hair (sometimes..)
It can be great or it can be boring. (I've yet to find it boring, but I'm still waiting!)

My point of this post (well yes, I AM getting that I promise! Wink) I've been busy. Well OK perhaps busy is a wee bit of an understatement, or well on some days I guess that could be more seen as an overstatement- but I think you catch my drift. The twins are mobile in a BIG way.

The following is a statement from my tiny twosome=
We run , we climb and we never seem to go in the same direction. We don't sleep through the night, we are up about every 1 and a half hours (sometimes Mommy gets lucky and gets two straight hours of sleep- but that's rare especially now that we are teething- yep FOUR teeth all at once- each of us!) We worry mommy with our small size and well lately the lady can't seem to cook anything that even remotely seems appealing to us. (We just don't understand why she thinks we can't live on baby cheese puffs and bananas alone?) We like to play with each other, although we just learned how to push and fight. Thank goodness we have big brothers to watch and take notes from! Life for us... its a breeze! (especially now that we know how to pitch a fit and throw ourselves onto the floor kicking and screaming!)

So I guess you can see now why my posts have been lacking in numbers. I can't believe it has been a month now since my last one! I would love to say that for posterity purposes I would go back and post about everything that happened over the holidays and into the new year- but well.. I just don't think I for one, have the time, and two I don't know if I can even remember that far back! What was that.. My name you asked? Gees, I'm not at all sure I can remember that either! Wink

Onto a new future, One where I don't put as much pressure on myself to get everything done in the day. One that lets me sit back and read a book, or slack off on my blog and not feel amazingly guilty that everyone else seems to be able to write a bazillion posts (that I find the time to read by the way) and I write none. There is 24 hours in a day, somewhere in that time-frame has to be some time for me? I guess I just have to find where it is! SMILE

So cheers to the day and I'm raising my martini glass full of fabulous lemondrop goodness to you all- I welcome myself back to the blogging world- and here's to hoping I can find my 'me' time and stick with it!!

I was getting a bit worried about you! I am so sorry the twins are proving to add so much fun to your life! Enjoy them while you can and worry about the other stuff later.

Oh, how does that old song by Bachman Turner Overdrive go???

"Its only the beginning...!"

My girls fight ALL THE TIME. They knock eachother down, hit one another, take toys away... and then they'll turn around and be sickly sweet to eachother. Luckily my girls will eat pretty decent stuff, but they did go through a phase where if it wasn't mac & cheese, they weren't interested. Luke still will only eat croissants and grilled cheese sandwiches. Nice.

Don't be too worried about their size either. At least not yet. My girls seemed to stay in 9 month sized clothing forever and then between 18-20 months they sprouted to a size 18 month and are still there.

I can imagine how busy and tired you are! Teething is no fun. My girls only in the past few months have started sleeping through the night and it made such a huge difference in my energy level and my emotional stamina. Post when you can because I love hearing what's going on with you and your boys, but don't feel pressured to blog. Blogging is fun and its an outlet, but there are certainly more important things in life. (What?? Did I say that!? lol!) I recently started a personal blog, so if you get a chance, stop by (is that pressure?? sorry! Bad me!). Ok, its late and pretty soon I'm going to have to print and bind this comment and sell it on Amazon.... (get it? I'm writing a book...?)

First off don't feel guilty about not getting on this to blog more. I would never be blogging if I had that much interrupted sleep. Wow. I don't know how you do it.

And ummm yes the fighting. It got better for us around 2. They still fight occasionally but it seemed to be less and they learned to resolve a lot of the fights themselves which is my favorite.

And surely don't worry about their size. My girls are teeny tiny. They are almost 3 and only weigh 24 pounds. They do eat a lot and are still this small. My Dr always says they will eat if they are hungry and if they need it. And a month of just bananas and puffs is not horrible LOL. Well he used Mac & Cheese and crackers as his foods. :)

Enjoy the moments you have. Your kiddies are so cute and I know they bring you so much love and happiness :) But I do look forward to seeing more of you.

Welcome back.

We have fighting here as well - those Oliver girls certainly can get down and dirty! Mine have been sleeping through the night for a month now. I couldn't cope anymore and did Cry it out as our plunket nurse suggested. It wasn't anywhere as bad as I thought - let me know if you want some guild lines.

I second...er...third everything Jenny and Arizona said.

And here's to some "me" time. Oh wait, that was "you" time, wasn't it?;)

Teething is definitely no fun. I hope you make it through alive! Our girls are trooper sleepers but when teething they are real bears while awake.

Hey! I've been out of the loop a lot too. We don't fight, but my girls don't really interact much either. They play alone or with me, but never really together. I don't have any suggestions to help you out, but we'll be thinking about you and hoping the kiddos start sleeping better. We eat anything and everything mostly, but grilled cheese is a favorite. (And I can sneak meat onto that.)

As for size, our girls are 20 months and weigh 25 pounds. But our new pediatrician said they would only gain about 2 pounds a year and a few inches, so it wasn't anything to worry about. Their blood counts are all good and they are developing.

Take care!
