One of MANY firsts..

Well it happened. The first time we took the twins to Chuck E. Cheese. They did phenomenal! They loved the lights they wanted to be down in the action. Hitting the games and writhing is delight.
Mind you this is not my idea of fun--> everyone else's crazy arse kids running around all willy nilly and unattended- I seriously go bonkers! I practically go into cardiac arrest just watching parents sit there and chat and not even pay attention to where their kids are or even what they are doing- Not to mention who they are talking to! (can we say pedophile heaven?!)
ANYWAYS... I am getting away from the topic.. So the boys had a great time and we even got them to sit still for two seconds for this shot.
I am sure we will be back there again. (just hopefully not any day soon!)

Fort Baby

BEFORE...

AFTER..

Were these super gates not the best invention ever?! Don't get me wrong I don't normally "pen" up my kids, (or the Fighting Octagon as the Hub calls it) but in order to get some things done during the day they do spend some time chilling out together! I'm thinking of even taking it out in the backyard and testing it out there too!

...1930's wife score

86

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

Arizona was kind enough to find this great quiz! Of course curiosity got the best of me and I just had to see what I was grade wise. Much to my surprise I scored pretty high! (And I even wrote down that I cook in my pj's, use vulgar language and correct my husband all the time!) But like Bonnie said having tons of kids helped up the score a bit! *wink

My mom seems to think that the True test of wifedom would have been a 1950's wife. So perhaps someone can find a quiz for that year! (I sure couldn't.)

The outcome of this quiz just might give me the cheery boost I need to get the rest of the housework done today.. ALL done today *smile
(or maybe not.. maybe It will remind me that I already kick @$$ and can sit on the couch and watch that movie I rented that NEEDS to go back today before the late rental brigade come and breakdown my door!)

Countdown 'til Kid Time!

I miss my son. :(

It is camp day 3 today and I am already anticipating Friday when we get to go pick him up! We were given an itinerary of daily activities so all hours of the day I'm thinking... I wonder what he is up to now? Then I run over to the sheet and see. Archery, BB guns, beach parties and campsite campfires.. I am sure he is loving every minute of and not even having time to miss me!

You think it would be a good thing to have one less kid at home making a mess for a couple days... but its opposite.. I LOVE having my kids home. (I say this ONCE and only once... but I miss his messes! *wink)

Other than that, Its cleaning house and trying to keep the inside temperature under 83 degrees! I don't mind warm days.. but HOT days BLERG!
When you're cold you can always add on more clothes- when you're hot, well lets just say there is only so much you can take off before you become indecent!

You look like that one person.. You know who I mean... Right?!

It has been said many times, always when I meet new people.. and I smile and say, "well thank you, but I really don't see it."

Have you ever had those experiences where you always seem to remind someone of that one person who was on that one show?
I have many many many times. So I bet your wondering who people say I look like.

Let me show you...

Minnie Driver (I get this one ALL the time!)

Molly Shannon

Katy Perry

Lauren Graham
Laughable right?!... Oh wait, You said you have forgotten what I look like.. Well here is a reminder:

Now you tell me... Who do you think I look like? And when your done guessing I think you should all post who you've been told You resemble! (Now there's a challenge If I've ever seen one! *wink)

10 Things..

Ten things I can't live without tag...

As I got this from Laura, whom I think is fabulous, and I am also going to steal her idea of making this a fun and frivolous list seeing as we all know how much the kids, Hub and God mean in our lives!
So.. Here is to my Top Tasty-Fun Ten!
(In no particular order)

1- Mani's & Pedi's (why do one without the other? HELLO!)
2- Lemon Drop Martinis (With of course Fabulous girlfriends to drink them with!)
3- Ipod
4- Victoria's Secret Lingerie (who says we Moms can't bring Sexy back?)
5- Car Navigation System (I seriously get lost in my own town!)
6- Laptop (DUH!)
7- Lady Godiva Chocolate Truffles ~Oh La La MMMMM!
8- PI Cologne (its my signature scent)
9- High Heels (I have missed them! ...One day I will own Jimmy Choos! *wink)
10- Venti Carmel Latte from Starbucks

hmm...looking at this list perhaps that is why God blessed me with all sons, He knew I was girly enough for the whole family! LOL

Hi Ho Hi Ho.. Its Off to Camp He Goes!

CAMP!
Chugo will be embarking on a new adventure this weekend! He will be attending Scout Camp for 5 days. FIVE days! This will be the longest I have ever been without my amazing first born! I am so excited for him to go, as I recall going to camp when I was younger. It was such a getaway, from family and friends...to be able to make new friends and experience new things!
*sigh*.... those were the days!
*wink

So now, its pack pack pack and worry worry worry! Will we never cease to worry about our kids?
What if this happens, what if that happens? I always just tell myself that if I assume every (and I mean EVERY) possible scenario then it won't ever happen.. because I will be prepared right?! Its like that saying expect the worse and be surprised with the best. (ok so maybe that isn't really a saying, but I say it, so that actually makes it a saying then.. right?! *Haha)

I am sending him off with a disposable camera so if any shots come out (you know kids) I will scan them in and post them!

Did I already mention that I was excited for him?

BLERG!

Did you ever get the feeling that no matter what you do effects your day to day transactions? Like for instance your snide comment about something/someone all of the sudden came back at you in another form?
I am terrified of this.
I am a good person. (I think I am.)
Yeah some days I get frustrated and perhaps voice concerns a wee bit more than I should, but who doesn't? Does that make me a bad person?
I am sickly optimistic because I think that looking to the bright side will help remind me of all the good things in life rather than focusing on the negative moments... And I have so many wonderful things in my life. So why does it seem that sh*t always comes my way? Is it because I have learned how to deal with the stress? (HELLO... MOMO pregnancy last year as an example.) Because I really haven't.

Can't I look up to the sky and yell.. "OK.. I have had enough now, maybe you could send some stress another way?" <--Well obviously not, because we all know that the Man upstairs makes the decisions, and I am ok with that. (Maybe it doesn't sound like I am right at this moment.. But I am.) I KNOW there is a reason that everything happens in life. Perhaps I won't see the reasoning now or maybe I never will (which urkes me that much more).

I'm just stuck at the moment. Stuck.

Perhaps it is my fault? Maybe its not good enough to just BE a good person. Maybe there is more to the task of Being good? Who can say?! This is my rant for the night. I will get over it. I always do. Life throws us curve balls and we just have to readjust our stance.

Only during hard times do people come to understand how difficult it is to be master of their feelings and thoughts. - Anton Pavlovich Chekhov

9..count them 9 months old!

Hard to believe that my wee lads have reached the nine month mark! (and we are just finally outgrowing the 6 mos old clothes! *wink) We had a good time playing today and laughing lots...

When Life Hands you a .... bagel?

Sometimes things get turned upside down. Ever get that feeling that you are dangling by your ankles- and you watch as your pocket change falls from your pockets, and no matter how you struggle you just can't seem to get free- and then... the blood starts rushes to your head and the throbbing begins.

Yeah. good times.

My analogy isn't to say that my life is bad right now- its actually awesome. I have a fantastic Husband and four of the most wonderfully adorable sons ever! Its the housework, the yard work and my lack of sleep. no matter how I struggle to keep up I just can't seem to get enough sleep, get the house clean enough and my yard- well the grass is brown. :( (thanks a lot in part to 102 degree temps!)

The past three days I have been working on getting the twins sleeping in their own cribs. (I almost have my bed back and its terrific!) They stay in their cribs all night- we are just working on the sleeping part.

Picture this:
I am on an exercise ball with an arm in one crib shhhhing baby to sleep then i roll on the ball over to the other crib with an arm in shhhhing that baby to sleep- FOR AN HOUR! (Seriously with this kinda action why aren't all twins Moms a size 2?)
BUT it could be worse. It could always be worse right?!

Needless to say my housework hasn't gotten done and I feel like a tornado has hit the house- or maybe a hurricane..an earthquake?! <---Well some monstrous disaster anyways!
In the grand scheme of things this is but a mere speed bump.
And with that... I digress.
